For the 2024 model year, the Lexus LC dusts off its greatest weakness––that infuriatingly sensitive trackpad infotainment controller. Taking its place is a much more intuitive touchscreen setup, packing the brand's latest software into a slightly larger 12.3" display. But the new tech isn't the only upgrade the LC brings for 2024, as there are some new colors and customization options as well.

The enlarged 12.3" screen now sticks out of the dash as opposed to last year's recessed unit, and it runs on Lexus's new Interface software, which supports over-the-air updates and a more advanced voice assistant. There aren't any other major changes to the cabin, aside from the celebrated absence of the touchpad controller on the center console.

A new Ultrasonic Blue Mica 2.0 shade joins the LC's exterior color palette, which comes at an additional cost of $595. There's also a new Copper Crest color for $500, along with a new interior color called Dark Rose. Also new for 2024 is a Bespoke Build program, which enables LC buyers to choose from a wider array of colors, wheels, and other features. Some of those options include an exclusive $1900 blue and white color scheme for the interior, additional colors for the soft top on convertible models, and a carbon fiber roof for coupe variants.

Some other small tweaks include newly standard 21-inch wheels and the addition of Lexus Safety System+ on all LC models.

Powertrains carry over unchanged for the new model year, with the same 471-hp, naturally aspirated 5.0 liter V8 propelling the non-hybrid coupe and convertible. The LC500h coupe continues to pair a 3.5 liter V6 with a hybrid powertrain for a total of 354 hp.

As a result of the notable changes for the 2024 model year, the LC's pricing has notably jumped for both the coupe and convertible variants. The coupe undergoes a price increase of $3250, with a new starting price of $98,850, while the convertible now starts at $106,350, which is $2700 more than last year. Meanwhile, the hybridized LC500h now starts at $102,150, which represents a small increase of just $550. The 2024 LC will begin to appear at U.S. dealers this June.
