Despite being a relatively youthful 34 years old, Infiniti has already tweaked its corporate logo three times, and now it's about to undergo its fourth refresh since the brand's inception. The latest design focuses on the "infinite road" aspect of the brand's emblem, in which the two lines depicting a road meet the horizon. Previous iterations of the badge saw the two lines intersect into a sharp point, but those lines no longer fully connect.

The updated logo also gains an illuminated 3D effect when applied to the brand's vehicles, in which the infinite road curves inward. The emblem will appear on the brand's future vehicles, though Infiniti didn't specify which ones. We do know that a redesigned QX80 flagship SUV is coming next year, so the logo will likely debut on that model first.

With the debut of a new logo and brand image, Infiniti may be placing the stepping stones to an all-new lineup, as the brand's current vehicles are aging fast. This makes further sense when putting into consideration that Infiniti calls the refresh the marking of a "new era," saying that the logo's emphasis on the horizon represents the company's "steadfast commitment to always look forward to the future and to new horizons."

In the process of refreshing its image, Infiniti has also announced an all-new look for its dealer network. The updated design further highlights the brand's Japanese origins, bringing on a lighter, more spacious feel to its showrooms. On the outside, a deep overhang on the roofline creates shadow while also guiding sunlight into the showroom. Infiniti says the new look for its dealers adopts the Japanese philosophy of "ma," which relates to the space between objects and purposefully adds empty space to create a sense of balance. The refreshed look will first arrive at Infiniti retail locations in Doha, Qatar, downtown Los Angeles, Georgetown, Texas, and Monterrey, Mexico. More locations will get the new design from this month onward.
